Judith is on page 200 of 320 of Nav's Foolproof Guide to Falling in Love
Jessica Lewis has a bit too much awareness of mental health and therapy and even while her character don’t have it makes it a bit weird experience. And I see what she is going for even if the teenagers don’t… so it’s an experience. I do think it’s written “realistic” in a way and less exciting… but it’s so freaking cute I might 5 star it

This is very charming so far! I do think the reveal that plagiarism is bullshit made it odd… but it seems they aren’t going to linger on those baseless accusations too long so that might save the pettiness the rivalry felt like. I am curious how much it will lean into the spooky and supernatural elements tho… but it reads away very easily

This is slow and not that eventful but I am weirdly into it somehow. Although these kids aren’t 16 they read as 19 at youngest but that’s YA for you. I like the Greek inspired setting and the mystery surrounding so far, as I think the main relationship has potential. Although I vaguely remember this being promoted with vampiric and… haven’t gotten there yet

The horror part of this starts sort of late almost kind of funny how much this is just a camp for the rest of it. But let’s see where this goes. Also picked this up to avoid heterosexuality and romance and it does have a small hetero romance and male pov BOOOOEEEE. Courtneys writing keeps reading away really great still

Most self-indulgent thing from the authors i have ever read in terms of worldbuilding and having fun in between sexiness. Although the self loating arc of the vampire gives the book almost…weirdly lesbophobic undertones for a lesbian book as the man her ex is with now is just so much better and they are so good and… that was the premise of book one??

This is pretty good so one! The magical and how casual it’s done is really fun and I love grumpy/sunshine dynamics that actually commit. What I adore most of this however is how REAL these main characters feels and how their relationship is slightly awkward and very exploratory. It’s feels real how you navigate/ deal with relationships and not on the eye matching but still liking it personality in the first place

This is an absolutely delight! Fairytale-like, self-indulgent very and soft. I love how Lesbian Ofelia is allowed to be and how despite my fears the romance is never pushed aside and they are allowed to long and be cheesy and romantic. I only dislike how… little this book seems to care on a genuine level about the people working at the castle or and logistics of food luxury is never free hopefully this get adressed

WHY DO I KEEP FORGETTING TO UPDATE THESE WHILE IT MAKES ME FEEL ACCOMPLISHED READING. Anyways this book should have been cut up in like 4 shorter books as it’s for children like I’m raised on Dutch 100 page kid literature and while this is so so so good it’s long in a way that while I’m SUPER invested and they are easy i’m not getting through it fast. Many more thoughts could write and essay book good

This book suffers “how do you bring up diversity normal” YA syndrome but otherwise this is promising. I’m always pro any monarch critical and anti military takes in fantasy, although with mc being of a “war hero” family that got disgraced curious to see where it goes. Also the author is a Horse Girl. And I’m have a light suspicion into a… controversial fanfic trope I now know too much about. Unsettling

This started promising and I’m DRAGGING myself through it went from having a great time to meh. Partly because the long chapters I guess. But other than the random spicy i guess you can call it scenes that escalated so quickly this feels just meh. Like characters are fine nothing annoys me that much but I have no deep desire picking it up. I’m also too monogamous for this sorry. Anyway last 100 pages almost free

Genuinely love how much nuance with identity Dhonielle put it and how subtle these discussions feel. More impressive than most YA takes and this is middlegrade. Her writing flows beautifully, but especially at first she goes a bit slow. Character wise I missed all these babies and things move better now we stopped being too busy setting things up only. Stays most promising and underrated serie ever good stuff here

Gotta admit this is cute and charming. Reminds me of like a videogame set up but it works. Although you can’t tell me nobody remarks how BITTER coffee is. But other than other promoted cosy fantasy, this books does have “stakes” or conflict foreshadowing with her past crew, the stone and debt collectors. The biggest conflict however is THAT THIS ORC REALLY BELIEVE YOU CAN MAKE PROFIT SELLING 2 PRODUCTS!! 2!!!!

The antisemitism metaphors in this are not subtle and a bit heavy handed. It also assumes i can remember many names and places. However it’s getting me and reads away so nicely I do love these lesbians already and I’m feeling a complex dynamic here. Sylvia this feral nature loving girl is getting to me and I’m curious to see where this goes

My habit before reading before bed and horror anthologies don’t go together that well, but this one is genuinely really great. And terrifying. I think only one didn’t work as well but otherwise magnificent standouts. There are many plays on monster within monster in this though and I like mh stories SHORT but they work well!!

This book started strong like possible new favorite as i embraced the narrator but now it’s just long and so soft. It does have some sweet and clever discussion and i like what it does with the worldbuilding between homophobia is the meme theme and it doesn’t exist especially in the gentleman’s club scene but it just keeps going it’s so slow can they just as the main characters would say fuck
