This man knew God. This first chapter is full of deep, rich communion with God. I love how Kreeft unpacks some of the most meaningful phrases of Augustine's "Confessions" and makes them more understandable to the layman. So far, I see that Augustine combined deep theology with personal experience in the heart of God.
