A well written tale of a country, particularly its women, being trapped in war and an ancient, antiquated society.

Not a very flattering view of the Busch personal lives.

An interesting depiction of lives Afghan women.

Alternating between the 10 year old daughter's perspective and the policeman who was shot makes for an interesting narrative.

Interesting that the story's narrator is the Grim Reaper. Who better to tell a story based in World War II?

An interesting read.

Engrossing story of a young man growing into adulthood.
