Well over halfway through this book and I'm determined to finished. I have to say, I don't understand the high ratings. I feel like the author is making logical jumps at his own convenience and condemning traditional logical jumps when they don't suit him.

You know - at 400 pages in, there are times I'm enjoying this book and I'm highly amused, and there are times I just dread the next 400 pages because there are so many things that irritate me about the characters, the language, and the plot.
