I've never read this book and it's not off to a good start. All the talk about "Indians" being savages and the bit with Caddie's uncle on the river made me so mad. What grown man plays a prank that almost drowns a child and then tells her not say anything. Gross.

I'm about half way through and honestly, the movie trailer is what's keeping me going. Waiting for all the juicy parts to show up. It probably wouldn't have held my attention otherwise.
