so far, this is A LOT better than “shadow and bone.” i don’t know if it’s because the author just got better at writing in general or the 3rd person POV for each of the characters

…yes, this is the 5th time i read this book. don’t judge me—it’s single handedly getting me out of my reading slump 😩

i love YA books because they’re perfect for getting me back from a reading slump but i also hate when i binge through a YA series (like the hunger games and shadow and bone recently) and they end up putting me into a slump 😭 i feel like my brain has been fried, i can’t concentrate on literary fiction 😭😭
