Robert Boissy is on page 172 of 334 of A Canticle for Leibowitz (St. Leibowitz, #1)
This post-apocalyptic tale has the human remnant choosing between life in violent tribes and life in religious cloisters, with the religion reflecting some true remnants of the pre-apocalypse alongside some creative building of the sacred from barely understood artifacts. The author effectively asks what is it that humans really need and want once the 21st century luxuries have been tripped away.

I am generally not a self-help guy, but undertook this book at the urging of a good friend. As a recent retiree, it is the right time to look at this. Every time I read through some cautionary tale about an ailment I already have, that is tough. But I think it is well worth continuing.

Robert Boissy is on page 107 of 464 of How Far from Austerlitz? Napoleon 1805-1815
Plenty of detail, though I am having a little bit of a problem understanding the order of presentation. Really loving the roving details about things like Napoleon's spy network, his HQ setups in the field, how he followed topography and concentrated on enemy main body only and seeking not to attack head on or in long dressed lines. Flying columns! There is plenty left to read,,,

Robert Boissy is reading Naked Economics: Undressing the Dismal Science
I just finished Naked Economics: Undressing the Dismal Science. Try it. Even if it is the only book covering economics you ever read, you will be much better off than those who bail out after ECON 101. I liked that the book made clear what are questions for economics and what are questions outside of economics. Plus you get lots of case examples and a good supply of wit. No charts, no graphs!

Robert Boissy is on page 117 of 356 of The Swerve: How the World Became Modern
This book is so in my wheelhouse. The Rise of the Nation State was my college minor, and it required quite a bit of 14th and 15th Century Florence. Library School Training certainly paid homage to the codex. This book just keeps getting better and better for the bibliophile. I expected nothing less of this distinguished author.
