Y’all I thought this was the first book and got to page 24 before realizing I was wrong.

DNFing here. This is the second story that has made me uncomfy and not in the fun “let’s think about it why we are uncomfy” but in the icky way.

I know the foster system sucks. I don’t need to read about it and this is not how the book was advertised.

Tbh I don’t know why I picked this book up. I struggle with anthologies bc of the tone shifts. Feel bad not finishing it tho. What if I love the last story?

Everything felt a bit rushed? But maybe they had a word count/page limit for this idk. Overall a fine story. Not the best not the worst imo.

Just finished the forward and ngl I didn’t understand a lot of it. Perhaps it was the writing style perhaps it is me. Guess we will see?

Finished the first book in this book

I’m thriving ngl I love this kind of stuff. Elena is kinda the worst person to ever exist but she is also strangely likeable because of it. Definitely not like the show, but this isn’t my first rodeo with books/things I love being turned into other media so they’re just separate things in my mind.

The fact that I haven’t read these before now is honestly appalling

So far they are easy and fun to read and I’m thriving on the vampire fiction vibes the early 2000s late 90s gave.

Can’t wait to read both endings to this series lol

Mr. Oka simply doesn’t do miscommunication. Love that for me and him.

We’re like two chapters in but Inez has already let people literally steal things off her I can’t handle this
