This book is amazing! I am learning so much.

Well written but really depressing account of being the victim of bullying and the aftermath of a friend’s suicide, with alien abductions in there too.

This book keeps blowing my mind.

A story about what we can’t describe. Creepy and engrossing.

Loved this book! She clearly experienced expat living, that’s so honestly told. The plotting is quick; it feels like a movie.

That being said.... Ahmed is thinly written. His internal monologue, in response to the horrors he has witnessed, feels half-baked. I get that this is a young adult novel, but still— it’s just not honest enough on what it would feel like, or how his culture would influence his perspective

Loved this book as a teenager— it’s even better as an adult.
