Truly enjoyed this story and learning about the different characters Roland’s mind enters throughout each door along the way!

Found the entire story fascinating and was often on the edge of my seat unwilling to do anything else but continue on with this book.

We can be our own worst critics, often being many times harder on ourselves than what we think of others in similar circumstances.

A terrific listen on, not just self-compassion, but also best practices on things to do to better be aware of oneself, be in the moment of here and now, and to lead with forgiveness and understanding. There were also a few really good real-life experiences to supplement the content.

Revisited this book in January of 2026 and I feel like it very well could have hit harder than the first time I read the story.

Truly an eye opening exploration into tragic events any person could have while also exploring a world so many people will never experience.

Reflecting on the current events happening in the USA, a story as powerful as The Kite Runner is not for the faint hearted to explore.
