Jen is starting Sigh, Gone: A Misfit's Memoir of Great Books, Punk Rock, and the Fight to Fit In
I’m at chapter 5 to read next. I will be reading it in the library going forward. I’m not going to be incurring a huge fee for adhd tax.

I have been hand writing notes for the past 2 weeks and I am getting tired of tracking the papers and a pen too, so I’m going to start with the ereader notes function instead.

I’m in week 2/52 and have been for a few days. I love the way the book is set up. It’s easy to understand the messages and get going with it. I love that Dr Moore has a lot of notes at the beginning of the book to help you understand how to navigate through it as an ebook reader and taking notes. I put the on date as a note in the introduction section to be able to see that in my notes when I finish the book.

The Heart section was good, and yet the Mind section is speaking to me like Ms. Nichols is having a conversation with me about the hard things of this season of life in the holidays for the first time without any of the contact with my mom since she has passed away this past year. It’s just not what was expected but then that’s life too, and now mom is at rest.

The exercises are good, only one is culturally appropriation. The examples lean heavily on white, male writers of the middle of the last century. Women students are portrayed as either of two caricatures. Having 12 earrings in at once in a single ear maybe has some bearing on the sense of that person, but not as a writer, for example.

Chapter one is a good grounding in the psychology and history of stress research.
