Prologue: Absolute banger!

I’m reading this book for the fifth time and I am feeling completely normal about it

Did not expect the phrase “a father should give more to his children than he takes” to come from the internal monologue of Riordan’s narcissistic Apollo, but here we are :’) getting slapped emotionally with words is clearly my favourite pastime

I had only gotten a few pages into this book when I knew I’d made the right call in ditching what I’d been painstakingly reading at the time. I felt more delight and appreciation in the first few pages of Furthermore than I felt reading half of the other book.
