started to realize that ms harrow employs the template "metaphor/simile, explanation of metaphor/simile" quite a lot in this book and every time it happens it briefly takes me out of the story.

for the most recent example: "we went through time like a needle through fabric, and a needle doesn't count the stitches." like yes harrow,,, i couldve got what you were going for just from the simile.
