Rereading and falling apart all over again. Immigrant mothers are some of the toughest people out there, don’t ever let anyone say otherwise

This started out quaint but now I’m hate-listening to it.

I’m a glutton for suffering because I still find nearly everyone in this series as deep as a sitcom family living in a fake set.

But, for the culture, right?

Wasn’t a fan of the first book but I’m trying to be a supportive member of the Fil-Am community. Also I need more descriptions of the cute dog.

This book would be cuter if it wasn’t so insistent on being clever every single paragraph. I haven’t sped read this much to get to actual parts of the story and plot in a long time

I think I hate everything in this book except for the frog that wears a crown. This is a fantasy written from the POV of the funny girl who’s “not like other girls” desperately wanting to be desired by the hottest man in the room.

Ugh.

Flavia is extra annoying in this book, but I liken it to a YA, historical fiction version of CSI in that it’s easy to consume

Louise Erdrich herself narrates this audiobook and it is fan-FREAKING-tastic. Erdrich’s narration is funny, irreverent, and serious without being obnoxious.

I think I’m only reading this because my kindle says I’ll be done in less than two hours but it’s going to be a rough two hours for sure.

Curse the intriguing summary for catfishing me.

Started this audiobook while hacking away at weeds in my yard with a machete. Quite fitting.

This creepy murderer gives me the heebie jeebies
