I’m sorry, but when you wanna boast about speaking another language (like is happening in this book so far. Even as a native French speaker, it’s annoying and has “boast a lot” vibes through the roof), the very LEAST is to speak it right. “Bien”?! Why tf is that there? XD it should be “hein”. ANYWAYS! I had to complain.

Boy, this is a tough read and not because the subject is heavy. The WRITING is heavy 🤣 like, calm down with them long ass sentences that mean nothing.
The Time Machine was not as bad, though, so I guess dude grew a tad more pretentious over the next two years xD
