Attempt number 2. I started this earlier this year and just wasn’t feeling it. So, here I am again. I am enjoying it much more this time around. Just wasn’t in the right headspace before:)

Really enjoying this so far, but the mistakes are driving me nuts. When Graves and Carver read the typewritten letter taken from the study they immediately say they suspect Ruth is the author. Even though the letter clearly says that the author must also consider Ruth and that she too is under Alexander’s yoke. Unless Ruth is speaking about herself in third person. It looks like bad editing

I’m enjoying the story but this book could have really benefited from a good editor. Some of the sentences are run on and confusing at best.

I am only on page 29 and I can already tell I’m gonna love this book◡̈

This main character has got to be one of the dumbest characters ever. EVER.

Starting really slow…

I can not believe how self absorbed, whiney arrogant, and self important this dumpster fire of a main character is. Leah has got to be the worst person ever. I’m struggling to care what happens to her. I’m hoping she gets some of the grief that she so happily bestows on everyone unlucky enough to cross paths with her.

I’m barely into this book and I just have to say…if you are going to make a big point about a weapon, at least learn about it. A simple google search…I’m just saying
