boris is genuinely pissing me off so bad i want to jump his ass

so far this book is a 4.5/5 for me i don’t know why but i really love it. the characters are so well flushed out they feel real and i really love it not going to lie

loving the book so far but so hard to keep up because what 13 years ago olds even talk like this? She’s making them sound way too knowledgeable I was also 13 once boi (like i get if one kid was super smart…but this lady made them all sound like geniuses)

just started but i can see her shift from babel to this clearly. katabasis seems more like YA and lighter read as compared to babel and the poppy war- she was clearly hungry to tell her story in those books. (not that she isn’t passionate in this one)

genuinely pissing off connell is a shit person i don’t care if he has anxiety or whatever other problem he has. doesn’t give him the right to act like a manchild idc how fine he is goodbye

so let me get this straight. He forced himself into her life, made her not go to her Europe trip with her aunt because he wanted to get married before she left him forever, and then when he noticed she wasn’t reciprocating the same love, he STILL chose to marry her, and then when she didn’t want to sleep with him, he forced himself on her, and the writer is trying to make him look like a saint???

i don’t know why it’s taking me so long to read this book. so good so interesting. i hate being a mood reader

yes i’m incompetent. yes i was unable to get passed page 2. and yes you can laugh.

so far, 3/5 stars. Super cool kinda like someone writing a diary about their whole life and recollection of memories and how they felt in those moments.
