ooof i fell short of my reading goal again this year :') xD

tbh I just don't like any of the characters. the heist is kind of confusing but def the most interesting part

lots of repetition but doesn't annoy me enough to stop book

why does the writing seem different? this is not bad necessarily but I cant get into this book as quickly as the first one.

OH GOD NOW THE MMC IS PISSING ME OFF TOO, JUST GIVE HER SOME SPACE AND ASK HER IF SHE IS GONNA ACCEPT CLASS REP’s confession THE NEXT DAY AND WHY THE EFF is that NICE GIRL WHO LET FMC BORROW HAIR CLIPS LAST VOLUME SO MEAN THIS TIME AND TRYING TO GET MMC TO STOP PURSUING FMC LIKE UGHHHH

Normally it would be cute when the guy pretends to be sick to check on the girl I’m the infirmary but nope, CLASS REP COMES OFF AS MANIPULATIVE AND CUNNING TO ME

omg I’m on chapter 12 when yachiyo or whatever tells her the truth about him being there writer but the way he said it, I was GASPING AND SAYING BIIIIITTTTCH HES SUCH A BIIIIITCH FOR REVEALING IT LIKE THAT AND THEN TACKING ON THE ILY TOO?!!! SO HE WAS ALWAYS TRYING TO BREAK HER AND THE MMC APART UGHH. Like I understand MMC was forcing him to reveal it and that’s no okay at all but idk I’m so annoyed now with glasses

It’s just kinda weird cuz he knows she really wants to make friends but he’s like well I’m your friend but actually I’m also your boyfriend??? And also it’s kinda off that she basically sees him as a good friend and not her boyfriend like ever. Like it doesn’t even cross her mind that they’re dating lol. And I mean she didn’t agree but the dude keeps reminding everyone that she’s his girlfriend so idk??

So, I like the book so far and I obviously love the main character and the guy is really nice!! Buuuuut, he’s giving me mixed feelings, which isn’t bad exactly but it’s giving me a weird feeling. he’s trying to help her explore life and he does everything he can to make her happy. But he has this insistence that she doesn’t need anyone but him which would be fine if she wasn’t so lonely and desperately wanting frens

I'd just like to note to myself: I called it!! I Freaking knew the detective was gonna be the love interest. So far, writing is nothing special but it's ok. Its kind of more tell than show.

This is such a nice book! Takes me back to when I was a kid and I was obsessed with mystery books like boxcar children and cam Jansen!

my guy.. the vibes still are not it.. the black prince still being a major dickwad since he is kissing her forcefully...... and white prince is showing his true colors???? like is she just a game to him or something????????? like he's only interested in her cuz his bff, black prince, is????? these guys suck :-/

Bros got to stop forcing kisses on her without her obvious consent or interest. But overall, this is shaping up to be an decent enemies to lover story.
