This is very reminiscent of what I see today. (Violence towards the oppressed) The media condemns only certain violence. And that is of violence towards the elite. Let it be a marginalized individual , it will only continue with concrete change. Bc it was such a rare act cased by someone on the fringes of society.

It’s is shocking to me how far inceldom has creeped into our society. through its lexicon. As the author notes it has. Through terms like “looksmaxing” “normies” etc. makes me fear what else has crept into our communities without even noticing.

I love the establishing of the character arcs. Of Mari the back story and her terrible “bf” pierce. And her seemingly minimal connection with Emily. Both writes at a loss bc of a man. Also live chess ish. Something annoying about her. Idk.

So it started w them going snuba diving. Then paintball. Then Ethan gave olive a full body massage w oils and all! They went on a leisure drive together. Shared stories. Anyways he KISSES her and then she falls asleep in his arms.

Olive Toress has a twin sister Ani. The bill begins at Ami’s wedding. During the wedding and during Olive’s speech everyone starting barking due to the illness from the seafood buffet. Everyone but the maid of honor and best man. This in turn makes them unable to go to all inclusive free honeymoon to Hawaii won by Ami an obsessed raffle goer. Unable to go Ami makes Olive go w her nemesis brother in law Ethan.

Currently got introduced to tate the main female character I believe. She’s moving in w her bro who lives in downtown sf. While moving in there’s a drunk and hurt guy in front of the door lol, who turns out to be Miles, her brothers friend. Anyways she brings him in the apartment haphazardly. He then gets up and starts crying out for Rachel. Tate can’t help but feel remorseful for him.

Rn they just introduced ryen. Now they’re onto misha. Who met ryen but she didn’t know it was him. Age wiring letters to each other for 7 years they know each other so well but they’ve never met!! Misha has a band and his band has a band fund raiser and ryen was there they met only he recognized her but she didn’t recognize him.

Okay so cate found out her dad is actually been alive this whole time. This shattered her world. She broke off the engagement w joe in public it was recorded. Didn’t get joe an explanation at first. Then come to find out Berry has been in love with joe since the 7th grade and is just telling him now!! Also now they’re going to Joe’s cousins wedding they’re flying he’s making a plan to try and win her back!

Sooooo good. Rn Cate and Joe are finally going out to eat together in NY. Making it semi official they’re going to El Teddy’s. I love how nervous she makes him. And how he has genuine feelings for her. Which sounds like he’s never had for anyone else.
And Cate still has her guard up but is very much falling for him as much as he is for her!
