OK, so in the past few hours I've changed my mind...slightly. Her husband is horrible, and I absolutely think she should leave him. The characters are incredibly selfish, and I’m not sure how I feel about how adultery is not only romanticized but celebrated. Jennifer’s husband may be a bit of a snobbish, rich man but he does love her—even after he finds out she’s been cheating on him for months. If she would’ve put all the energy she spent on her affair into her marriage, she could’ve been happy with her husband…

Honestly, I’m not sure why I’m still reading this book… the plot is so incredibly slow and nonsensical. Also, I am slightly annoyed at the description of this book as some ‘magical duel’ when it’s actually just two people living their daily lives and sometimes creating magical exhibits for over thirty something years…
