I'm 20% through and still don't really understand who this "Puzzle Lady" is (I picked it up as part of my annual Christmas mystery binge and haven't read the first three in the series), but I'm mildly entertained, at least.

And we see why fantasy authors usually kill off the parents. So much exposition and suspension of disbelief needed to accept their response.

Clue references, and an Indiana jones reference. I love this book.

I can tell this will be fairly formulaic, and the character development is minimal, but it's fun so far. I would have loved this book as a kid, with all the puzzles and codes, and I wish the "Willy Wonka of book publishing" and his game were real.

I'm giving up on this one. The writing is choppy, the plot is meandering, and I just hit a disturbing rape scene that the author seems to give an "oh, well" shrug of the shoulders to. I also find I really don't care how it ends or what happens to any of the characters, which is rare for me.
