Confusing so far, I don’t know if I like the story.

The more I read this book, the more I hate it. It's so filled with stereotypes, glorified bad decisions, and conservative bashing that the plot seems like an afterthought. Idk why I'm even still reading it.

So far I'm very unimpressed with the characters. They feel clichéd and old. Sam is a closet transgender who cant get anyone to believe her, Moe has an overbearing tiger parent who struggles to show affection, Joe is a pastors kid who hates the perfect image and can't fully believe in God, and Topher has to delay his life to take care of a sick brother. There is nothing original about the characters so far.

Chapter one was great! Unfortunately, the book has gone steadily downhill since then. I particularly had a problem with putting Barney Frank on the same level as George Washington.
