Fives pages in and I’m already giggling. I think I’m going to like this one.

I cried telling my husband about Abel.

Started my morning with the audiobook narrator singing:

Poor King Edward
Now under the ground
Hacked his lungs up
They’ve yet to be found.

And I've never laughed harder. I interrupted my husband, who was watching the Tour de France, and made him listen to it. Happy to report he also found it hilarious. I then listened to it three more times.

My husband bought this book for me because he liked the cover. He told me the monster reminded him of ROUS (Rodents of Unusual Size). Excited to dive in!

Locked in for bio number two. I’m already loving this more than Ackroyd’s. It’s focused on him and pulls from his letters to tell his story instead of relying on other posthumous accounts. He’s a fascinating man.
