Keeps getting better. Great found family.

Quickly worked its way into my feels. A lot of sweet moments, and some brutal ones. Story feels like it was crafted by someone with a love not just writing, but her characters, their stories, and their world.

Ummmm…it’s cute. I stayed to the end for the resolution, but I don’t think I’ll read anymore of the series. For me, it wasn’t quite cozy enough to be really cozy. It did have some stakes, and the mystery part was well done. I did do the audiobook, and I don’t think the narrator was my favorite, though I wonder if maybe it was just a “wrong book at the wrong time” type situation.

So far so good! An upright, likable criminal is a fun trope and I love this band of gangsters.
