After reading this one in school I still think about it regularly. It taught me a lot, not just about what Jewish families had to go through to be safe. It taught me about how important family is, and how you need to help others even when you feel like you have nothing. Those simple acts of kindness are so key in times when it seems like the whole world is against you. I think every child should read it.
