this is farther than i made it the first time i tried to read the book. i didn't stop reading intentionally, i just got busy and forgot about it [leaving off at pg 92].

I'm officially caught up to where i was last time

i'm about 1 chapter away from the point i read up to last time. it's impressive to me that i haven't been bored at all re-reading these sections. such an interesting read

I decided to restart this since I got close to the end the first time and didn't want the end to happen so I stopped reading for months 💀

this girl went to her church like "hey, this older man did things to me" and the church was like "damn girl that's crazy. maybe don't show up here for a while lol sry"

i think way more books should start the way this one starts

i love the way dr payne writes. i didn't realize there would be nonbinary people discussed in a book like this, and their inclusion both thrills and delights me
