I really hate the title of this book, but I’ve only started it. But the title of this book was offputting to me. I appreciate the fact that not all people had the same relationship with their mother that I had, and I am forever grateful for my very loved mother. So, away we go with this

“So call someone a ‘birdbrain,’ and you are paying them the highest of complements!”

‘All the colors of the dark’ - I hope this gets better, five hours into the audiobook (I speed it up) and I have eight hours left. Ugh

I came upon #ReadChristie2025 just recently so am getting caught up as we are well into February - “Five Little Pigs” is the January 2025 selection -

I thought this would be too much like Tony Robbins rah rah woo woo jumping into ice baths but I loved his (on kindle) chapter 1 story of his walk with his 10 yr old son before a big chess tournament - ‘win or learn.’ Simple, yet so well put. So onward…

10 hrs in to audiobook only more 40 to go! Probably too detailed for many - her recollections of experiences, perspective — Streisand is setting down her own history so it’s the one I want to read.

i love this book !

This book really hovers on dull yet mildly interesting if one is interested in New York City circa 1890s - Edith Wharton era, a writer I truly love. Hopefully improves

What I love about this book is his editor let him speak in his own voice.

meryl streep narrates the audio book. she is amazing, lifts the story line. i will give this a 5 star bc Streep completes the narrative.

Really good, tons of minutiae yet given what he brought, or yet wrought, on our world it’s compelling…

Zero progress just yet, but my husband says I must read this book

I hope this gets better, it’s a slow slog in the early going
