This book gives me a lot of feels 🥺

I’ve been enjoying the audiobook for a good few months, dipping in and out whenever I’ve felt the Twilight urge, but I noticed today that I still have 20 hours left to go! Is time moving backwards? Does it grow longer with each day I don’t listen? How is there a whole DAY of story left? Talk about value for money! 😍

'Come ten o'clock, all I want is my bed and laptop. An hour of writing, internet pottering or watching something on Netflix helps me decompress before it's time for a sleep.' Sometimes I forget that I didn't write this book :L I would so get along with the author!

Almost there - tears in my eyes!

The last thing I expected when I started reading this was hearing how Cheryl was injecting heroin days before her trek! At least she's honest.

'We passed on the stairs later the same day and exchanged the secret smile of those who pretend that the remote control is a light sabre when no one is looking.' I love this line!

'She looked like a lot of things to Jackie. Mostly she looked like a person lost in both a place and a moment.'

This book is just too good. I hope it has a happy ending!

'It's like reading a map of the future, and she wonders if there are such telltale signs on everyone, hidden clues to the people they'll one day become.'

I wasn't expecting a love triangle when I started reading this! I wonder if things will get resolved in this first book (probably not).

'People don't forget what it is to be loved... No matter how young or old you are, or for how long you had it, you will always remember what it is to feel loved.' I am really enjoying the story so far, though there are a few occasions when my eyes have glazed over while reading (more a reflection on the writing style though, I think).

These events are unfolding so quickly - obvious plot twist is revealed and totally unconvincing love scenes suddenly happen out of nowhere. No, just no.

TJ is just brilliant. I love every word that comes out of his mouth!

Apparently the average British woman spends £133,000 on beauty products and maintenance in her lifetime... Those figures are just insane!

Sarah's experience of the Sainte-Chapelle reminds me of visiting York Cathedral as a young teen. I had never seen anything quite so beautiful, and with the young choir singing, I felt truly moved on a spiritual level. This book is really giving me a sense of wanderlust!

So far, I've been really impressed with Sarah and Ridge's relationship - they are fun and honest and communicative. But now I've had a seed of doubt planted and I'm not so sure...

'Most people weren't aware that books chose us, at the time when we needed them most.' I love how much the books are anthropomorphised!

'I had this fear that life was passing me by because I was too timid to take the reins.' As a fellow introvert, I can relate to Sarah's concerns. I am loving her character so far!

This book has SO MUCH DIALOGUE, but occasionally I stumble upon a good quote: 'There really are no boundaries to what a person can do. With enough focus, with enough determination, you can break free from your self-made prison.'

This book has had me squawking with laughter all day, but I know the inevitable must soon happen...

What You Left In The Ditch is so disturbing... I'm going to hear that clack clack in my nightmares.

After an unsure start, this book has been utterly beautiful.

This is sooo dark... woah.

This books sometimes feels like Lord of the Flies in space...

I'm literally pages away from finishing! Mixed feelings about it, but I'll definitely be reading the sequel.
