This books is actually much grittier than the (very good) cover suggests, with Dexter-like pasts, sex trafficking, etc. It takes me a while to get through a book, but I'm really enjoying this, especially the refreshingly unusual, sharply-drawn love story with a unique conflict.

I'm reading this for research, and though almost half of it is indecipherable, highly-detailed stuff, the other half is fascinating: mirror humans, transhumans, genetic engineering, evolving in a way that defeats the microbes and makes us multivirus (and radiation) resistant, 3-D printers, and more.

I'm impressed! First VP book I've tried.
