Dnf at 40%. I can’t read this book. It is a strain for me and I am not enjoying it.

It is not bringing anything new or interesting into my life. It is a plot-driven story, basically describing events as they happen. He did this, she said this, and the dog was wagging its tail. No depth whatsover. Similar experience to watching reels while being used to indie, Golden Globe winning movies.

The way the tension is created in this book is unbelievable. The weather, the surroundings, even the sentences structure are characters too.
