Some interesting turns for our band of heroes. There are two weeks before the next chapter is released, so I’m sure to neglect opening the WebToons app again for a long spell…

Conservatively estimating the page count at 10 per chapter, but the longer this goes on, the greater it’s debt to Solo Leveling manifests. There are differences, of course, but the similarities are certainly striking. Which is not to say it isn’t compulsively entertaining—it is!

The second book is much weaker than the first. It’s mostly just a recycling of the first’s plot with an upgraded AS (arm slave) mecha and a more generic terror group with absolutely no motivational ethos save destruction for the heck of it.

Finished the first book in this three book omnibus. It’s definitely better than expected.

I’m 40 chapters into this peculiar “boxing” series. It’s entertaining but often absurdly unrealistic.

Just finished episode 58, so there’s a long way to go at a one episode a day pace. This is a really, really, really slow burn romance with some very engaging, whimsical art. And, that it’s set in a magical world doesn’t hurt. There are way too many entertaining webtoons out there!

He’s so phat. that came out of nowhere, and even more out of the chronology than GnR.

Starts of on the wrong foot with a middle schooler wearing a GnR tee in 1985. She’s so hip she’s jumping on a band that doesn’t even sign a record deal for two more years!

What can I say, I’m addicted... each new volume is more mediocre than the last, but I still must know what happens. And damn are these “masters” overpowered. There seems to be no limitations on what these game avatars can get away with.

My nearly year long daily reading streak broken by a miserable flu bug in the final stretch. Bah!

Apologies for the manga heavy updates. I just got a massive order from RightStuf so not only do I have to read through 27 new books, but I have to refresh my old parent-brained memory with previous volumes. It’s a good problem to have for me, but prolly not great for anyone who gets my updates on their home feed. Sorry!

Trying to read a book a day for the month of June. I’ve devoured a few 500-600 pagers, but I am cheating so much with novellas! Fortunately, they’ve all been great, short reads!
