Once past Philip and on to Alexander has been interesting. I like the author's occasional comments.

Finally coming up to Alexander.

Started last night and nearly half way through. Great as always.

Just like I am back in the series that I love so much.

Continues on...

Story is a bit heavy in descriptions and surroundings.

Stayed up to late to get this far, really good reading!

Book was written in 1971 and is following college age persons. Attitudes and conversations reflect this to almost a cliche.

First person narrative,just getting into the plot.

Give this a go,I like the author.

At least the book was worth the wait. Very captivating.

I enjoy trying to read the manuscripts and admiring the beautiful illuminated pages.

Moving on with story, not much enthusiasm though.

Reading on, a book of pictures and history, what better!

Not really enjoying the story thus far.

The characterization is not endearing me to the story.A.C.Doyle fawning over the Holmes-like detective skill of O.Wilde doesn't conform.

I am loving the characters in this story.

Enjoying the story of that Grant explores while stuck in hospital with a broken leg.

I wish that all the author had included pictures of the paintings he writes about.

Thus far the story is a kind of pilgrimage to Venice and the search there for Titian.

I am now into the Hound of the Baskervilles. It is enjoyable comparing it to another favorite of mine, The Moor by Laurie R King.

I am liking this book, a first person narrative that is interesting as both story and historical.
