I don’t want to put it down! Oh wait, the Libby app has the audiobook! I don’t have to!

I will say, this author knew how to write a good hook in the first couple short chapters that was also perfectly summed up in the blurb.

As usual, another book to make me go, “Stop making the wrong decision and go be in love!” My hopeless romantic personality strikes again.

Sometimes it’s a little hard to tell what’s the script and how much is ad-libbed, but the interpersonal relationships between all the Chinatown actors is really touching. Curious where this goes.

I’m so glad I got this book in a mystery bundle from my library.

Definitely a new style for me, but I’m interested in seeing where it goes.

Is it still pretty cliché? Yes. Is it kind of a fun ride? Also yes. It’s definitely turned a corner that makes me not want to put it down.

Because I’m a hopeless romantic, I know I’m going to fall for Luca just like Catherine, but man… if in real life a man acted that way when I was acting the way Catherine was, I would LOSE it.

I swear, if a man saw me acting with that level of urgency, then acted the way Luca does, I would LOSE it. 😂

Starting like a typical romance. Honestly a little heavy handed on the, “the woman is too uptight for romance with the immediately way too charming and attractive guy who’s going to break her out of her shell.” But, it was in a mystery bundle from the library. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I’ll just say this: I knew Sean would be a POS when I read that he was a cop. 🤷🏼‍♀️

This book is wild. It’s asking questions I’d never even think to ask because of my privilege of having an able-bodied child. But… how far would a parent go to get some security in the future for their kid?

Picked up this book with three others as a mystery bundle called “Tear Jerkers” from the library.

Not going to lie, reading that Napoleon got his tail grazed by a bullet in the Battle of the Windmill hit a little too close to home with another certain “leader” being “shot…” I’m honestly surprised Napoleon didn’t make a bigger deal of it.
