my kobo says 4% read, 25 hours left to go. oh. okay lol. and with how complex this fantasy appears to be, i fear it’s going to take me all month to finish 🫠

this is so painfully slow. it’s just chapter after chapter of flashbacks and i think i’m starting to see why they’re necessary if my obvious theory is correct but omfg. they’re kinda excruciatingly boring 😭😭😭😭

this isn’t feeling like a thriller to me. there’s so many flashbacks and not enough in present day. i’m feeling a bit bored by it honestly.

ughhhhh why did she have to throw in this mafia plot line? i was really liking this but now i like it less. prob dropping my rating for it too.

i feel like i can’t put this book down. i blinked and almost 2 hours had gone by and ive devoured 100 pages. its not a perfect 5 star, but im having a lottttt of fun with it!!

this is already better than book 1. there’s more depth to the story and our fmc. i also like the tropes a lot more in this one.

i can’t stop crying over this fictional man. he pulls at every heartstring that i have 😭😭😭😭🥹

this is the sweetest, most heartwarming book. the amount of affection i feel for this fictional grumpy 59 year old man is out of this world. 🥹

the banter between nicole and logan is off the charts good. and he’s got golden retriever energy and been in love with her for years???? yeah this is prob going to be a 5 star new fav romance.

my first time reading anything by jeanette mccurdy and i’m really enjoying her writing style. it’s very raw and honest. these characters feel very real, like im reading a memoir instead of a lit fic novel.

finished the other book i was reading today so i didn’t read as much as i wanted to. my kindle says 2 hrs & 20 mins left so def finishing tomorrow!!

if i didn’t have a headache i could easily binge this and finish it tonight but alas. maybe tomorrow. 🙂‍↔️

i fear reading this immediately after finishing the great alone might put this book at a major disadvantage lol. but!! it's a much faster read and i'm flyiiiiiing through it which is really nice and exactly what i needed.
