Phil is on page 50 of 527 of Prague Fatale (Bernie Gunther, #8)

I love Philip Kerr's Bernie Gunther novels. Love the characters, the history, the stories, and all the evil Nazis getting their comeuppance.

Gonna have to sneak ahead to the end. It's not doing much for me.

Phil is 60% done with Operation Oskar (Reim #2)

Don't know if I'm going to make it through. Nothing much is happening except our hero seems to go back and forth between East and West Berlin.

I'm 2/3 of the way through and it's setting up to have so many tragic endings in almost afraid to finish it. I hope there's a happy ending somewhere.

Phil is 50% done with Winter: A Berlin Family, 1899-1945

Very disappointed in this one. I used to like the author's spy novels, but the historical novels leave much to be desired. It bounces from nice little story to story like a romance novel. Not going to finish this one.

Phil is 70% done with Of Blood and Bone (Chronicles of The One, #2)

I should have known, but book one was pretty entertaining. This is just fodder for what I’m sure will be book three. Read 2/3’s and couldn’t go any further.

I thought this would be better. Lots of names and dates history that you won’t remember five minutes from when you read it.
