Enjoying this immensely but all the mentions of death by tortures are not it😭

Well well. A plot has emerged (again?) and I am thinking can we just get this king what he wants (a new wife) so we can all go home and eat?

I stopped reminding myself that this is a historical fiction. Stopped trying to remember who is who, who is related to whom thru which marriage or birth, and what year so and so said what. Only then I can start enjoying this brilliant book more deeply.

So this man writes everyday and has 30 active manuscripts at a time. People like this do exist and I want to beat them up with my own tiny fists, that's how jealous I am of prolific writers. Oh and also: I am deeply grateful these people exist.
