DNF. I HATED this FMC. She is AWFUL. I can’t decide whether she is more immature or unkind. And yes I know it’s a book and not meant to be taken seriously but she’s just excruciating… and the MMC is such a kind, good-hearted person…. It’s disgusting. I am DNF’ing this book at 3/4 of the way through.

I know I shouldn’t take a book like this too seriously but the nitpicky bickering between the two MCs is annoying and childish.

It’s driving me nuts that they keep referring to George Knightley as simply “Knightley”. I know it’s supposed to be modern day… but I keep thinking of Emma lamenting that Mrs Elton had the audacity to refer to Mr Knightley by his last name only. He ought to have been called George in this book.

DNF at 25%. Such a slogging start. I stuck with it but eventually got bored and gave up.

Reminds me more than a little of The People We Keep

DNF. Life is too short to waste time on books that you’re not into.

DNF. The same as everyone else says…. Unlikeable main character who kills indiscriminately…. Skip it.
