This is so basic. I didn't read the first novel, and I would not make it through this one if it wasn't a book club choice. I can talk trash about it at the meeting.

Too little plot and too many characters. I was very disappointed in this book.

Did not finish it, just grew tired of it. Slow moving.

Awesome story of poverty and generational curses.

Awesome read. Gritty and authentic portrayal of generational acceptance of LGBTQIA community.

I am giving up. Maybe it drags because I am listening to the audiobook, but the book moves too slowly. If it were print, I would just turn to the end.

A lot going on, so I read it in spurts.

It moved a bit too slowly for me. I really tried to finish it, but there was not a lot of dialog and after awhile, it was just ok.

Learned a lot about a great ball player but did not finish the book.

So slooww.....I gave up after only 20 pages. Ill try again maybe but it moved much too slow for my taste.

A bit slow in the beginning....
