Abandonment wounds, living with dread for bad things to happen no matter how much you try to be “good”… I am floored how even in wildly different circumstances, trauma manifests the same mentally. I wish I could plow through this all night to get more psychological understanding😂

First time I did some author/country of origin research before digging in and I feel like I’m maximizing the experience already!

The stakes! Predictable but entertaining, which is great for my season of life💛

I think this is a helpful FYI: I was disliking this as dystopian sci-fi, but it’s actually fantasy. I’m here for it now. ✨
