sorry friends… I mostly liked this one!! I just love the tensions she captures so well between characters, whether romantic or friends. There were def moments where I rolled my eyes but I was glued to this while reading

truly completely different from anything else I’ve ever read. the main narrator is the most vicious POV I’ve ever read, and I think the book says a lot about beauty, social hierarchies and the different ways women are limited in capitalist Japan. in the end though I was left with a loooot of unanswered qs. def recommend tho
