7. Hell is the absence of God

"If there were a possibility that he could be admitted to Heaven and his suffering would end, he would not hope for it; such desires no longer occur to him."

I'm not sure what to think of this one, I have ever thought about religion that way. The mere thought of loving God just because you want something means that you don't really love him, so gotta believe in him blindly?don't get it

Me trying to guess the plot twist, knowing fully well that I'm going to end up like a 🤡

6. The Evolution of Human Science

"What is the role of human scientists in an age when the frontiers of scientific comprehension of humans?"

This one is scary, can this actually be possible?

5. Seventy-Two Letters

"Our goal was the survival of the species, not the implementation of partisan politics." "On the contrary, this is purely scientific. Just as it's our duty to ensure the species survives, it's also our duty to guarantee its health by keeping a proper balance in its population."

I hate when the greatest ideas get ruined when politics comes in the picture.

Hahahha love ya Wayne

I'm already in love with this characters...

Marasi pls don't die, or become evil, or anything like that.

I loved how some scenes of the original trilogy makes sense now

I'm not sure if it's due to this being a re-reading, but Eli's words don't feel genuine to me

Honestamente creí que Agatha Raisin seria como una Miss Marple 2.0, pero no, estaba completamente equivocada

4. Story of Your Life

"Freedom isn't an illusion; it's perfectly real in the context of sequential consciousness ...freedom is not meaningful, but neither is coercion; it's simply a different context, no more or less valid than the other"

I'm not sure if maybe I'm easy to impress, but this stories are just the kind that keeps you awake at night while overthinking.

Hahaha the T tower

Oh, ya entiendo la portada

And that's how you make a prólogo... I'm in

I don't really care about this couple, I just want ro finish the book

Jajaja esto es tan tierno

Oh is like "The Unhoneymooners" by Christina Lauren

3. Division by Zero

"Such contradictions may never have been encountered, but it is impossible to prove that they never will be"

"What Getzen had done was prove the obvious by assuming the doubful"

As someone who loves math, this short story was really good.

I think this is my favorite so far.

Wait... did the age gap got bigger from book to book? How is Maya almost the same age while Hank is 35 in the first book and 38 in this one when they're only like about one year and half apart from each other?

Not sure how I feel about this book yet. I feel like there are things happening but we don't get to know because we're focused on the mcs "ducking"

I'm sorry, but the love interest POV being part of the story takes aways that romantic mystery that I like in Ali's books. The "I always loved you even tho it looked like I hated you" kind of thing

Ok, up to now it's not that bad

2. Understand

"As I am proverbially not part of the solution, I am part of the problem."

What was that? My brain hurts (in a good way)

"la literatura es un gran fanfic, todo el tiempo, si lo piensas así" You got to be kidding me

I wasn't on my plans going through all Holly Jackson's work, but here I am

1. Tower of Babylon

"Thus would men know their place."

Honestly I thought this would be like the tower of Babylon original story, but it was so much better.

You can clearly see how this book is divided by "how the mother fuck her up" and "her dealing with the consecutivo of her mother's doings"
