A beautiful book about a grandmother who wants to know her son better.

Yeah I mean everyone says this series is great but every page feels like a memory test

Can’t say I enjoyed this one. An interesting story but seemed poorly written. Also, I get it was meant to be a bit grimdark, but surely there’s bad things that can happen to women other than getting raped

An interesting read with many modern parallels!

Very much enjoying the read. Similar to Harry Garside’s book, but (perhaps because I don’t know his story so well), I’m finding the pacing better. Also a little more diverse - the section on how to apologise was a good one

Most things in the book are already out in the public domain (if you know and have followed Garside over the years since his bronze in Tokyo). Nevertheless an interesting and inspiring read on how to live a more authentic life.

Loving it, feels like an influential book for the work of Cormac McCarthy

Interesting. Nothing new to those already aware of it but does bring together a lot of arguments about why inequality is bad for a nation and should be fixed.
