What is even happening?!

Very good so far!!

First time reading this series! I am really enjoying this book so far. Reading with my kids, ages 8 & 10. This trip to the Underworld is stressing me out! 😂

OMG I have 45 minutes left of this book and what is happening..? Is she going to die ALONE? Will we find out where the guards went? Who is in “charge” of the guards and why did they leave? Where is the power supply and why can’t she access it??

I am halfway done with this book and feel like there is SO MUCH of the story left to tell! So far I have so many questions.

Finley has the BEST opportunity right now to frame everything on her ex-husband and his new fiancé… am I saying I want this to happen? Kind of. 😄

Ex-husband, Steven, is a horrible person. Also, Teresa is annoying.

Currently on chapter 35, and I have a theory that the brother, Micheal, did something to this little girl. JUST A THEORY, but his POV is almost narcissisticly scary in terms of him thinking he’s better than everyone and how he reads people is creepy and too good.

This story is really good so far! The angst between Emerson and Theo is SO good!

SORSCHA!!!!! NOOO!!!!! 💔💔💔 Ok but Chaol finally stood up to the king, so that’s something.

End of chapter 20 🤯 IS THIS BOOK GONNA BREAK MY HEART?!?!

Lots of news characters introduced in the book! I wasn’t completely ready for this, but shouldn’t be surprised since Sarah loves her world-building. But we also get dragons in this book so YAY!

I’m currently on chapter 18 (of 26) so I’m a decent way through the novel. I love the storyline, but it is veeeery slow at times. I found myself wishing the scene would just end and the characters would just reach their destination already! It’s hard for me to imagine everything fitting into the actual timeline laid out in the book. Can all that really happen in one evening?? I need the pace to quicken.

16 chapters in and it wouldn’t be a Sarah J Maas book unless it had 3 different storylines going at once. What is the king up to? What’s under the castle? Why is Chaol the biggest softy when it comes to Celaena? Doe Nehemia seem a bit sus to anyone else? And the biggest question of all - will my brain be able to keep up?
