DNF- was loving it but they lost me at punishments that aren’t really punishments when he wants to deter her from repeating certain behavior. Nipple clamps and spanking and bdsm that turns her on and gets her excited is NOT a punishment. If you want her to stop impulse killing people, don’t reward her with all the bdsm she wants and call it a punishment . Pet peeve of mine.

I’ve been in a slump and needed something totally different, my friend recommended this. Im not a sports person but this is surprisingly funny and a entertaining change of pace🤣! (Definitely has some slut shaming, but I’ve been able to ignore it as, as it’s an older book I expected things to be a bit dated).

Ok I DNF at like 50% but I’m picking it back up to give the rest a try. Totally preference though, this book is so amazing, I just like my demons dominant and the throw me against a wall type. Freud is freaking adorable and green flags forever though!

Not only is this book sweet cozy and adorable, it’s the perfect HOTT AF slow burn. Shepard’s got a dirty mouth and he brings home made cookies. He also understand the importance of a cozy bed. Hnnnnggggggg🫠🥵

Reareading an old fav!

Arc: Omg I’m in love with this book. It’s darker than some of the other ones, but it’s so cathartic to read. The FMC is abused (non sexually) by her father, especially medically. As I am also a survivor of child abuse (my mother was a therapist, not a doctor but it was icky🤣). The MMC has shown up and is all growly “who hurt you” and I’m EATING IT UP.😭💚

I may try this one again someday because the writing was really good though a bit difficult for me to consume. But I felt over my head a bit with world building, I felt a bit thrown in and I had trouble keeping up with what was going on, which may be bc of my learning disabilities. I think if you love world building sci-fi with a high fantasy vibe you should give this a shot!

Mi typically prefer my grumpy sunshine trope to be grumpy FMC sunshine MMC, but omg I am LOVING the grumpy MMC and sunshine FMC. These two are great so far and I love the new plot of this one!

Still feel Loxley would have told people right off the bat about her physical issue though. She’s so smart and pragmatic, it just doesn’t line up for me that she would hide it after everything. Flying through this book. Went to authors instagram to get better picture in my head and keep track of all the alien species, which I LOVE that she has made that so readily available! No spice yet (this particular ace person is happy about that), lots of interaction and feeling each other out between MCs. Absolutely in LOVE with this book so far.

FUCKING LOVE THIS BOOK SO FAR. Total Mass Effect/ Garrus (aka my femsheps grumpy cricket) vibes. Having trouble visualizing the MMC cuz I know he is different than Garrus but I’m so in love with this book so far.

While super cute the spice was wayyyyyy to early for my demisexual ness. They go back to her place and she asks to go down on him (kinda abruptly from my ace pov🤣). And I need more relationship building b4 spice than that personally. My brain went “Nope” real quick.😆🫣 So this one isn’t for me, but if you like early spice and super sweet these guys are adorbs, definitely go for this one

Absolutely FREAKING IN LOVE with this book. It’s officially a comfort read. Seth is so sweet and fiercely loving/protective of Eva and her trans daughter Maggie. And Eva is ND with autoimmune disease, which makes me feel so seen! Love love love.
