This started off so promising. Necromancer family in New Orleans? Hell yes. But it's suffering from the same issue a lot of books have lately. Not enough plot. Not enough background. What does it mean to be a necromancer?? What are her powers?? What is even this setting?? Is everyone magical?? So much emphasis on vibes but not enough on plot.

This is a fun one so far!

Trying yet again to find an Emily Henry book I enjoy. Most of them have been misses for me so far. This one seems promising though!

Another read where the pacing feels exciting but when I really stop and think about it the story isn't very fleshed out. I need more world building than this.

I never ever buy physical copies of books anymore. But I randomly picked this one up the other day. This hardback is beautiful.
