I'm actually wondering what's the 'true' story: the one Ead and the Priory believe in (the Mother), or the ones perpetuated by Inys (Sir Galian)? Or is the truth somewhere in-between?

Oh. my. god. Please stop name-dropping everywhere. I can't tell if a character is important. Take it slow, please.

At this point I basically hate every single character except Santiago. Top of my list is Cleo, who's soooo special somehow, but in reality she's just dumb and annoying as f**k.

None of the major characters are likable and I honestly couldn't care less if they all drop dead right away. Jae-min is downright callous and OMG, stop telling me how pretty that girl is (I can't even remember her name because she's so boring and devoid of any personality beyond 'aloof')

50% in and I started having a bad feeling about this book. 70% in and I'm convinced this book is a cynical cash grab.

The writing in the earlier part of this book seemed to have improved, but now it has reverted to the 'very bad' writing phase again. Truly, the writing quality is one of the worst aspects of this book. The ideas are good, though; I still want to find out more.

Struggling to finish this. The writing is so repetitive.

Eh it's okay so far. Nothing truly riveting, and sometimes the prose bothers me, but it's also not offensively boring or hard to read.

Ugh... really not feeling this one. There are some great moments but overall I'm kind of bored with the fantasy/fairy tale parts. I hope it picks up again.

As I get older I have less patience for lyrical waxing about nothing. Some of the descriptions are so long-winded and I feel as if words were said, but they don't actually mean anything? I don't know; I'm not in the best mood now so that could be a reason.
