This book is so BAD ASS.

Really enjoying this read. The last 100 pages were intense, emotional, and uplifting. Where is Tchaikovsky taking me!!!!

I believe this is only the fifth Parker/Westlake book I've read. Looking forward to the rest. Loved the foreword by Lawrence Block and learning of their relationship. When I review this, I'll share my journey in discovering these books and all the interesting trivia surrounding them including Westlake's friendship with Block. Cool stuff

I bought this book used and it was discounted at an appropriate 33%, bringing the total price to $0.39. Ah, the good old days. (Yes, I'm old too).

One word.....Revealing!

Two words....Painfully revealing!!!.

Yet, also Fascinating.

The scope, the dialogue, the psychology. His concepts of Focus and trade vs. conquest. The similar but unique takes on 'Psychohistory' and 'Uplifting' that have been introduced by other masters. This book is brimming and I'm not even a third in.
