I’m liking it, but it’s not as addictive as ZA yet.

I do love them.

I like how forthcoming Dalca is about his pasta trauma. Is a new take that you don’t see in many MMCs.

It’s interesting so far. I can see how it could captivate the mind of a middle schooler. Though, I wish there was a hair more time spent on the lure of being meshed before the reader learned people were suspicious of the technology.

Honestly, I kind of hate Diana. Like, her main reason for hating Shane is that he sleeps around (hello slut shaming) and when he even proves that he’s a good guy she doesn’t even say anything about mending his reputation that she destroyed for no fucking reason? What a bitch. I would not want to be friends with her.

I don’t totally understand why they hate each other. Other than the fact that he slept with some of her teammates… like… okay?

I just love them together.

I fucking LOVE this book. I downloaded it because I love Teddy Hamilton and I like Elle Kennedy- not realizing the other narrator read Priest by Sierra Simone- and is also amazing to listen to. Regardless, the plot and character development is beautiful and I am obsessed with Wes and Jamie. Even this third act breakup isn’t getting me down.

A lot of the character development feels rushed. Maybe the other books should have been read first to understand the background context but it said standalone so…

God I really don’t want Cooper to get screwed over by his uncle. He’s such a sweetheart and it just feels like that’s what’s going to happen.

I’m not really buying into the romance… like… sure they’re both attracted to one another but they literally don’t know each other and are worried about fucking up their jobs… yet that can’t control their impulses? Idk… I’ll give it a little longer but I might DNF.

As someone who rarely listens to books faster than 1.25x, I am listening at 2x. So… it’s not great. But also I don’t love the tropes and I find Eden pretty whiny. It’s short so I’ll probably finish listening to it but it’s not doing it for me.

Jules might be my least favorite of all the girls. She’s so delusional it’s ridiculous. Like, telling your boyfriend you’re being blackmailed for poor decision you made when you were broke and homeless will ruin your relationship but stealing from him, and then lying and manipulating him won’t have any impact because you’ll “return the items” after the fact? What planet does she live on?

Maybe it’s just that I read the first five back to back but I’m not as excited for Eden’s story as I was for the others.

I hate that I’m just waiting for the 70% third act breakup. Like, it’s so predictable it’s basically painful.

If they have a third act breakup I may as well throw my kindle at the wall. They are so perfect and god forbid anything tries to tear them apart.

Now I’m just waiting for the other shoe to drop.

I adore them. I almost want to stop reading here because everything is happy and I just never want them to experience any hardship.

I’m not as enthralled as I was reading the Losers Duet but I am enjoying and reading it very quickly.

I was really hoping there wouldn’t be a third act breakup but it seems like that is never the case.

How could non-friends with benefits ever go wrong? Also, I’m wanting to know what Max wants sooner rather than later.

I do think these books get better as they go.
