I’d asked around for recommendations for clean Litrpg to get started in the genre and this one caught my attention. The audiobook narrator is very good! Reminds me of Clint Eastwood at times. The story feels like a classic western with litrpg elements. I’m enjoying it so far.

Ah, the aquarium scene. Having been to this aquarium makes it even more fun to read it! The art really does it justice.

So good, the art, the story, it's just perfectly cozy and has なつかしい Tokyo high school vibes but is also so in tune with today. love the friendships in this book

After watching the anime, I've been reading this series to study more Japanese, and I love it! The art is amazing. I can't decide which I like better, the anime or the manga. Now to keep studying...

I'm doing a buddy read with my son for this series, and I'm quite impressed with the book. Not only is the indie author marketing fantastic (yes, that's what I look at first as an indie author lol), but the story itself is fun to read for kids and adults alike. It has great themes, exciting action, and good character development. My son already wants to gift a copy to his school

I'm using this manga to study Japanese, so it's slow going, but I love this story! The perfect cozy romance slice of life (or should I say cake?)

I'm reading this so slowly in Japanese. Many of my US friends have raved about this series, but the first book is quite slow for me. I wasn't surprised by the twist either. But I do like Haku, so I'm going to read the next book for his sake.
