That said, I do like how Connor’s toxic dad is a recurring topic. Parents and sports are a combination I always find interesting to read about. I played handball as a teen myself, and what I remember most are, unfortunately, aggressive and achievement-driven parents (mine weren’t like that—thanks, mom and dad!).

Unfortunately, this is one of the worst ice hockey books I’ve read so far. I’m only about a quarter in, and the characters are sexualizing each other so much that it’s not pleasant to read—there’s no real chemistry, which is a bit sad.

Queenie ist sehr selbstzerstörerisch und ab und zu ein bisschen toxic, aber die Leute um sie herum (vor allem die Männer bah) sind viel schlimmer.

Das Buch ist so uncomfortable, ich liebs.
